Jonathan McVeigh (GDC No-65838) - Practice Principal [BDS Bristol 1990]

Jonathan McVeigh

Jonathan qualified as a dentist in 1990 after graduating from Bristol University. He is very experienced, forward thinking and committed to providing high quality dental care for his patients. Jonathan joined the practice in 2002 as an associate and took over the practice in 2005. As the practice principal Jonathan has endeavoured to make sure that Chew Magna has a caring team dedicated to providing first-class dental care, in a friendly relaxed environment. He enjoys looking after his patients and providing the latest cosmetic treatments.

Jonathan has completed training in Six Month Smiles, which is a new and innovative technique in teeth straightening. Jonathan is a family man, married with 3 young children, he loves to spend as much time as possible with them when not at work.


John Rigby (GDC No-60455) - Associate [BDS Bristol 1985]

John Rigby

John qualified as a dentist in 1985, after graduating from Bristol University. He has been with the practice since 1991 and has developed a very loyal group of patients, who appreciate his caring treatment. John has always been keen to embrace innovative techniques to enhance his dentistry. His main interests outside dentistry are his family, writing, nature and it's conservation.



Our Hygienist


Karen Greener (GDC No-3102) - [EDH Guys London 1986]

Karen Greener - hygienist

Karen is a very experienced and skillful hygienist who qualified in 1986. She has been an important member of our team since joining the practice in 2004. She has a very friendly and caring approach with patients. Karen very enthusiastically educates and motivates our patients about their oral hygiene. She explains how to prevent and how to treat gum disease. Outside of work her interests are her family, gardening and walking.


Hannah Deacon-Church (GDC No-210702) - [University of Birmingham 2011]

Hannah Deacon-Church - hygienist

Hannah qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Birmingham University in 2011. Originally from the West Country, she decided to return to the area and joined the practice in July 2013. Hannah is passionate about helping her patients to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth and the relationship this has with our general health. Hannah loves music and theatre. She also enjoys travelling with her husband, Zumba and swimming.

Anne Wyatt

Anne Wyatt

Anne has been the friendly front face of Chew Magna Dental Practice since 2001. She is an invaluable member of the practice ensuring that each day runs smoothly for everybody. This is helped by her experienced dental background, gained by being a dental nurse for over 20 years. She helps create a friendly relaxed atmosphere from the moment our patients first walk through the door. Away from the practice Anne enjoys travelling and her beloved MX-5!

Joanna Wareham (GDC No-138310)

Joanna Wareham - dental nurse

Joanna is an extremely experienced dental nurse, she was trained and qualified at the Bristol Dental Hospital and has been with the practice for over 20 years. With this wealth of experience she provides invaluable support to the dentists and dedicated care to our patients. Joanna is from the local area and will be a familiar friendly face to many of you. Outside of work Joanna enjoys the out door life.


Louise Ennever (GDC No-247650)

Louise Ennever - dental nurse

Louise began her time at Chew Magna as a cover receptionist and was given the opportunity to train as a dental nurse at the University of Bristol Dental Hospital. She qualified with her National Diploma in Dental Nursing in July 2013. Louise is committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients and finds her role very rewarding. Outside of work Louise is passionate about film and theatre. She loves to spend time exploring Devon and Cornwall, and is a keen surfer.
