Jonathan qualified as a dentist in 1990 after graduating from Bristol University. He is experienced, forward-thinking and committed to providing high-quality dental care. Jonathan joined the practice in 2002 as an associate and took over the practice in 2005. As the practice principal, Jonathan ensures that Chew Magna has a caring team, providing first-class dental care in a relaxed environment. He enjoys looking after his patients and providing the latest cosmetic treatments.

Tom graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2011. He has since enjoyed working in general practice in Bath and Wiltshire, helping often anxious patients with all aspects of their dental health.

Tom has a friendly and relaxed approach that puts patients at ease. He is passionate about preventative dentistry, enjoying educating people in the easiest ways to stay healthy. He strives to take a patient-led approach to minimally invasive dentistry.

In his spare time, you’ll usually find Tom at a coffee shop, listening to music, taking photos of old cars, or trying to keep fit.

Hannah qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Birmingham University in 2011. Originally from the West Country, she decided to return to the area and joined the practice in July 2013. Hannah is passionate about helping her patients to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth and the relationship this has with our general health.

Hannah loves music and theatre. She also enjoys travelling with her husband, Zumba and swimming.

Megan qualified from the University of Bristol in June 2019 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She won an award at her graduation for her dissertation, exploring the benefits of xylitol in the prevention of dental disease.

Her favourite part of the job is working with nervous patients, helping them overcome their fears and realise that there is nothing to worry about seeing the dental hygienist. She joined the practice in August 2019 and has found it very welcoming. She feels like she’s been part of Chew Magna Dental Practice for years.

Outside the practice, Megan loves enjoying the outdoors and is a very active person. She loves snowboarding in the French Alps and surfing in Cornwall. She loves to travel around Devon and Cornwall, exploring with her fiancé in their VW Campervan.

Gemma qualified as a Dental Hygienist from the Bristol Dental Hospital in 2005. Originally from Devon, Gemma has been living in the local area for a number of years and joined the practice in April 2021.

Gemma is passionate about her work and has many years experience in treating a diverse range of patients in different practice environments. Her favourite part of the job is working with nervous patients and helping them to feel at ease.

Outside of work, Gemma enjoys running, being outdoors, yoga and cooking.

Joanna is an extremely experienced dental nurse. She was trained and qualified at the Bristol Dental Hospital and has been with the practice for over 30 years. With this wealth of experience, she provides invaluable support to the dentists and dedicated care to our patients. Joanna is from the local area and will be a familiar friendly face to many of you. Outside of work, Joanna enjoys the outdoor life.

Anne has been the friendly front face of Chew Magna Dental Practice since 2001. She is an invaluable member of the practice, ensuring that each day runs smoothly for everybody. This is helped by her experienced dental background, gained by being a dental nurse for over 20 years. She helps create a friendly relaxed atmosphere from the moment our patients’ first walk through the door. Away from the practice, Anne enjoys travelling and her beloved MX-5!
